This is the way it was !

Continental Farm was started by Hakan Wallner, Berndt Lindstedt & Jan Johnson in 1975. Our first owners back then were K.G.Bertmark, Gösta Valentin, Ulf Moberg & Jorgen Jahre Jr, all from Scandinavia. We started out with 7 horses, and this number grew to a peak of 120 in 1988.

In 1992 we purchased (along with some of our owners) the training center Egyptian Acres in New Egypt, N.J., where Stanley Dancer used to be based. This is our center of activity for part of the year, and we normally ship the horses there from Florida at the end of April every year.

Over the years the horses we have trained have earned a total of $ 53 million, a number we think is rather impressive. The major horses we have had were Armbro Goal, Supergill, Workaholic, Royal Prestige, Super Arnie, Yankee Glide,Kick Tail, Smok'n Lantern, Yankee Mustang, Express Ride, Harry's Bar, Star Mystic, most horses that became succesful stallions in USA, Sweden, Italy and France. On the filly side we have had Spring Dash,Winkys Gill (dam of Supergill, Nans Cath (dam of Moni Maker), Wish For Speed (dam of Running Sea), Conch (dam of King Conch)Must B Victory,Kit Lobell,Cookout, Me Maggie, Newmarket S, Marita's Victory, Fluttering Wings, Silver Springs,Bruschette, Margarita Momma six of these fillies won the Hambletonian Oaks.
